Manushyaputhiran poetry covers a wide ranging area both quotidian and esoteric, personal and social, amoral and political. He writes effortlessly or rather appears to be writing with great ease even when he agonises over his inability to write! He is an effective communicator who often resorts to the confessional mode, narrating in an intimate tone, bearing a voice of immediacy and laying bare of his self. it is this sharing of his vulnerability., inadequacies and an ironic self – reflexiveness that make his poetry stand apart and pierce through our sensibility.
